Street art workshop - stencil portraits

On 17th of February 1 PM

at Tartu Kunstimuuseum (Raekoja plats 18)

Come and spend fun afternoon making a stencil portrait. Workshop is in English!

Stencil is a widespread street art technique made famous by artists like Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Blek le Rat. We use spray paint and stencils made from cardboard to get a portrait image.

You don’t need to have street art experience to participate. The workshop is led by the street artist Von Bomb, who will guide you through the process and help you create a unique and original stencil portrait piece from a photo you provide. We will apply portraits on a cardboard (size A2, ca 40x60 cm) that you can take with you after the workshop.

Program:
- introduction to stencil art
- how to design a stencil image (artist will design a sample image on the spot and introduce the process)
- cutting out the stencils from cardboard
- spray painting portrait images on a cardboard

Our tutor Von Bomb (Indrek Haas) is a well known Estonian stencil artist who has been active in the local street art scene from year 2007. He is also the author of the largest street art piece in Baltic states (mural "Ülemiste girl" in Tallinn, Ülemiste City, 1780 square meters).
